Why Your Reels Get Views But No Enquiries

Views and enquiries are two different jobs. If one is working and the other is not, the problem is almost always the middle of the video, not the hook.

A reel that gets 200,000 views and no enquiries is not a failed reel. It is a reel that did one job and not the other.

Views come from the hook and the retention. Enquiries come from somebody understanding what you do and deciding they want it. Those are separate things, and most content only ever does the first.

The three reasons it happens

Nobody knows what you sell. The video was entertaining and the viewer could not tell you what the business does. If a stranger watched it and could not name your service in one sentence, there is nothing for them to enquire about.

The audience is wrong. A hook broad enough to reach a million people reaches a million people who are not your buyer. Reach is not the same as the right reach, and a video that goes wide on a general topic brings in an audience that will never buy. This is the trap in the content nobody shares in reverse.

There is nowhere to go. The viewer was interested, went to the profile, and found nothing that moved them forward. No clear line about what you do, no link that lands somewhere useful, no proof.

Fix the middle, not the hook

Everybody rewrites the hook when the numbers are bad. If the views are already there, the hook is working.

What is missing is the middle: the part where the viewer learns what you actually do and why it matters. That can be one line. "This is a kitchen we rebuilt in six days." "This is the ad that took their cost per lead from ninety dollars to twenty." A specific, real thing that places you.

A video with a great hook, a real demonstration and one plain line about who you are converts at a completely different rate from a video with a great hook and a joke.

Show the work, not the opinion

Opinion content gets views. Work content gets enquiries.

A video of you talking about a principle performs well and does not make anybody want to hire you. A video of the thing being done, with the before and the after visible, makes somebody want the same result. That is most of why why founders should be on camera matters less than what is in frame behind you.

The best performing content we run for clients is almost always the job itself, filmed properly, with the person who did it explaining one decision. It is not the most creative thing on the feed and it is the thing that generates calls.

Make the profile do its job

Most profiles waste the one chance they get.

The name field should say what you do, because it is searchable. The bio should say who you help and with what, in plain words. The link should go to one page built for that traffic, not to a homepage with nine options. That is the whole argument in landing page vs website.

And there should be proof visible without scrolling. Not a testimonial graphic. A result, a before and after, a named project.

Then check the actual funnel

If the content is clear, the audience is right and the profile works, and still nothing comes in, the leak is further down.

Enquiry form too long, which is why your enquiry form is too long. A page that gets the traffic and does nothing with it, which is how to fix a page that gets traffic but no leads. Or no follow up once somebody does reach out, which is the follow up sequence most businesses never build.

Views are the cheapest part of this to get. Everything after them is where the money is.
